The Delivery

On January 7th we went into the hospital at 9:00 pm to be induced. At 10:30 pm I was given some medicine to start the long and painful road. It took about an hour and then the contractions started. After the contractions started, Jaxon did not like it too much. Every time I had a contraction his oxygen level would drop so the nurses gave me some drugs to counter act the contractions. They thought that because he was having a hard time with the contractions I might have to have a C-section, I was not too thrilled about that idea. As the night went on so did the contractions. I started to have some pretty painful contractions around 2:00 in the morning, at that time I was dialated to about a 3 1/2. After this is was just a matter of time untill "baby time." Around 5:00 the nurse came in to check me and saw that the contrations were getting worse. She pulled the anesthes... (you know that guy with the big needle). The shot was given to me at 5:28, during the same time I was having a intense contraction and my water broke and Jaxon's head was crowning (what a great time in my life). I was sqeezing Matt's hand when he up and decided to leave. He couldn't handle to see the big needle. What a man! I ended sqeezing the nurses hand. The doctor arrived just intime for me to push 3 times. (Luckily it was enough time for the epideral to kick in!) It happened so fast I could believe it. He is blessing in our life and we are so greatful to have him in the fam.
